Base Eleven Convention Centre in Pala is an expansive and versatile event destination designed for grand weddings, receptions, engagement ceremonies, family celebrations and cultural programmes. Located on Kadappattoor–Velliappally Road in Kottayam district, the convention centre combines contemporary architecture, landscaped surroundings and flexible indoor and outdoor venues. Its range of spaces allows families to organise everything from intimate traditional ceremonies to large celebrations attended by thousands of guests.
Hall 1 is the venue’s principal event space, offering approximately 12,000 square feet and accommodating up to 1,200 guests. Its spacious interiors, acoustic ceiling, sound-control features and elegant architectural details make it suitable for wedding ceremonies, receptions, stage productions and gala dinners. The hall also includes two green rooms, a welcoming lobby and a private VIP suite, supporting the needs of couples, families, artists and special guests.
Hall 2 can accommodate up to approximately 900 guests and features curved ceilings, decorative lighting and an atmosphere suitable for formal as well as celebratory events. Hall 3 offers around 3,500 square feet of space for approximately 350 guests, making it an appropriate choice for engagements, betrothals, birthday celebrations, wedding-related functions and intimate receptions. These halls may also be combined with adjoining areas to create separate zones for ceremonies, dining, entertainment and guest interaction.
The Pavilion provides an attractive open-air setting for cocktail evenings, DJ nights, wedding dinners and entertainment programmes. The Courtyard, landscaped gardens and heritage-inspired Tharavadu venue provide further options for traditional functions, outdoor ceremonies and smaller family gatherings. The approximately 200-year-old Tharavadu setting accommodates around 150 guests and creates a culturally rooted ambience for rituals and celebrations inspired by Kerala’s ancestral-home traditions.
Facilities include soundproof and carpeted halls, stages, green rooms, private lounges, event lighting, audiovisual support, dining areas and flexible seating arrangements. The venue also has a dedicated children’s play zone, step-free accessibility, separate entry and exit points for different spaces, pick-up and drop assistance and parking for approximately 1,200 cars. Event organisers can plan guest arrivals, vendor movements, backstage activities and dining services without disrupting the main celebration.
Base Eleven is approximately four kilometres from Pala town centre and is conveniently reachable through the road networks connecting Pala with Kottayam, Ettumanoor, Thodupuzha, Muvattupuzha and Ponkunnam. Ettumanoor Railway Station is approximately 18 kilometres away, while Kottayam Railway Station is around 30 kilometres from the venue. Cochin International Airport is approximately 75 to 90 kilometres away, depending on the selected route. Advance transportation arrangements are recommended for guests arriving by air or rail, particularly during peak wedding seasons and festival periods.
