Bolgatty Palace and Island Resort is one of Kochi’s most distinctive waterfront destinations for weddings, receptions, engagements and private celebrations. The air-conditioned Bolgatty Event Centre is the principal indoor venue and can accommodate approximately 800 to 1,000 guests in a theatre-style arrangement. It is suitable for wedding ceremonies, large receptions, sangeet evenings, cultural performances and formal dinners. When combined with the Golf Avenue and adjoining outdoor areas, the property can accommodate approximately 3,000 to 4,000 guests, making it suitable for large-scale celebrations requiring extensive décor, entertainment and guest-management arrangements.
The resort offers several smaller spaces for pre-wedding and family functions. The air-conditioned Lakeside Hall accommodates approximately 150 to 200 guests, while the hall with its adjoining pandal can host around 300 to 400 guests. Marina Marina Hall is suitable for approximately 80 guests, and Palace Hall provides an intimate heritage setting for around 80 guests. The air-conditioned boardroom and waterfront viewpoint can be used for private family meetings, bridal gatherings or small ceremonies.
Outdoor venues include Palace Lawn, Poolside Lawn, Marina Lawn and East Lawn. Palace Lawn can accommodate approximately 400 to 600 guests, while East Lawn is suitable for gatherings of around 600 to 1,500 guests. The Poolside Lawn accommodates approximately 250 guests, and the Marina and extended lawns are appropriate for events involving around 150 to 200 guests. These spaces are well suited to open-air wedding ceremonies, cocktail evenings, theme dinners, musical performances and sunset receptions.
The property has approximately 60 rooms across palace suites, marina suites, garden-view rooms, marina-view rooms, lakefront cottages and golf-view accommodation. From High Court Junction and Marine Drive, guests can travel across Goshree Bridge and reach the property in approximately five to ten minutes, depending on traffic. A ferry journey from High Court Jetty takes around five minutes. Ernakulam Town Railway Station is approximately five kilometres away, Ernakulam Junction is about six kilometres away, and the main Ernakulam bus terminal is around five kilometres from the resort. Cochin International Airport is approximately 40 kilometres away, making coordinated airport transfers convenient for destination-wedding guests.
