Kalikkotta Palace is situated on Kalikkotta Palace Road at Kottakakom, close to North Fort Gate in Thrippunithura, Kochi. The venue stands within the historic centre of Kerala’s former Cochin royal capital, surrounded by traditional neighbourhoods, palaces and temples. Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple, Statue Junction and the old fort area are located nearby. This culturally rich setting gives weddings, classical performances and traditional celebrations a distinctive sense of place that is difficult to recreate in a modern convention hall.
Vadakkekotta Metro Station is approximately one kilometre from the palace, providing convenient connectivity from Ernakulam, Vyttila, Edappally and Aluva. Thrippunithura Railway Station and the adjacent Metro terminal are around two to three kilometres away. Ernakulam Junction Railway Station is approximately 10 kilometres from the venue, while Cochin International Airport is roughly 30 to 35 kilometres away. Taxis and autorickshaws are readily available from the Metro and railway stations, making the final journey convenient for outstation guests.
Thrippunithura is well connected by regular buses from Vyttila, Ernakulam, Kakkanad, Maradu, Chottanikkara and Muvattupuzha. Guests arriving by road can approach through Petta and Vadakkekotta, the Vyttila–Thrippunithura route, the Maradu mini bypass or Seaport–Airport Road through Irumpanam. From an event-planning perspective, the central location simplifies vendor movement and provides easy access to caterers, decorators, hotels and other wedding services across Kochi. Traffic can become heavy around temple festivals, Athachamayam and peak wedding hours, so staggered guest arrivals, valet assistance and clear route communication are advisable for larger functions.
