Description
Calicut Trade Centre is a large, centrally located event venue in Eranhipalam, Kozhikode, designed for weddings, receptions, cultural programmes and major social celebrations. Situated near Sarovaram Bio Park and the Mini Bypass, the convention centre offers the scale required for grand functions while remaining easily accessible from the principal residential, commercial and hospitality areas of Kozhikode city. The venue provides approximately 70,000 to 72,000 square feet of expansive indoor floor area. Its principal hall can accommodate more than 8,000 guests, while the combined venue configuration can support events involving over 10,000 attendees. The large and flexible layout enables planners to create elaborate wedding stages, entertainment zones, ceremonial spaces, guest lounges, buffet counters and customised seating arrangements. A separate dining facility can accommodate approximately 3,000 guests, helping organisers maintain an efficient flow between the ceremony and meal service. The dedicated kitchen and dining infrastructure supports large-scale catering operations, multiple food counters and structured guest batches. The availability of an experienced catering and event-support team further assists with service coordination during high-attendance weddings and receptions. The venue provides facilities for stage construction, decorative installations, professional lighting, audio systems, exhibition-style structures and branded entrances. Changing rooms, guest rooms, VIP lounges, breakout areas and backstage spaces may be incorporated according to the selected event configuration. Its large uninterrupted floor area is suitable for theme décor, floral installations, suspended production elements and wide ceremonial pathways. Dedicated parking is available for approximately 800 to 1,000 cars, which is an important advantage for large celebrations. Clearly planned entry routes, valet operations, guest drop-off zones and separate access for vendors can help reduce congestion. For exceptionally large events, organisers should arrange traffic marshals, overflow parking and shuttle services in advance. Calicut Trade Centre is located on Sarovaram Bio Park Road in Eranhipalam, only a few kilometres from Kozhikode city centre. Kozhikode Railway Station is approximately five to six kilometres away and can generally be reached within 15 to 25 minutes, depending on city traffic. Calicut International Airport is approximately 28 to 30 kilometres from the venue, with a typical driving time of around 45 minutes to one hour. The Mini Bypass provides convenient road access from Kannur, Wayanad, Malappuram and other parts of Kozhikode district.
