Description
Al-Saj International Convention Centre is located beside National Highway 66 at Kazhakkoottam in Thiruvananthapuram. Its position along one of the city’s principal road corridors makes it a practical venue for large weddings, conferences, exhibitions and public events. Kazhakkoottam is a prominent technology and commercial hub, with Technopark, Technocity, Karyavattom University Campus and Greenfield International Stadium situated nearby. The locality also offers a good selection of hotels and serviced apartments, which is helpful when planning residential weddings or corporate programmes involving outstation guests. Kazhakkoottam Railway Station is approximately three kilometres from the convention centre, while Kochuveli Railway Station is around eight kilometres away. Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is roughly 16 kilometres from the venue. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is approximately 13 to 14 kilometres away and can usually be reached within 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. These connections make guest transfers relatively easy, particularly for weddings attended by relatives travelling from different parts of India or abroad. Regular city and intercity buses operate through Kazhakkoottam along NH 66, and taxis and autorickshaws are readily available from the railway stations, airport and nearby bus stops. Guests arriving from Kollam, Attingal and northern Kerala can approach the venue directly along NH 66, while those travelling from central Thiruvananthapuram have convenient access through the city bypass. From an event-management perspective, the highway frontage simplifies the movement of guest coaches, catering vehicles, décor materials and production equipment. The property’s open areas and parking facilities also support organised arrivals, valet operations and crowd management during large celebrations.
