Description
Arayal Resort is a scenic luxury retreat located at Manjoora near Padinjarathara in Wayanad. Set against the Banasura Hills and overlooking the tranquil Banasura Reservoir, the resort offers an intimate natural environment for destination weddings, engagement ceremonies, anniversaries, family reunions, birthday celebrations and pre-wedding functions. The resort’s outdoor lawn covers approximately 4,225 square feet and can accommodate around 200 guests, depending on the seating, décor and dining arrangements. The lake, surrounding hills and landscaped greenery provide a naturally beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies, evening receptions, cocktail gatherings and couple photography. Poolside areas, a party hall and smaller indoor spaces offer alternatives for intimate functions and celebrations affected by changing weather. Accommodation is available in categories such as Lake View Romantic, Lake View Premium, Lake View Exotic and individual Villa Cottages. These rooms and villas provide modern comforts while maintaining a close connection with the surrounding landscape. Having accommodation within the resort makes it convenient to organise multi-day celebrations, guest arrivals, family dinners and pre-wedding activities within the same property. Event amenities include in-house catering, flexible seating arrangements, audiovisual support, Wi-Fi, power backup, parking and assistance from the resort team. Additional leisure facilities include an infinity pool overlooking the reservoir, a multi-cuisine restaurant, spa, fitness centre, children’s play area and indoor games room. Nature walks, pedal boating, fishing, archery and birdwatching can be incorporated into the wedding itinerary to create an engaging destination experience for guests. Arayal Resort is accessible by road through Kalpetta and Padinjarathara. It is approximately 18 kilometres from Kalpetta and around eight kilometres from Banasura Sagar Dam. Kozhikode Railway Station is roughly 80 kilometres away, while Calicut International Airport is approximately 105 to 110 kilometres from the resort. Kannur International Airport is another option at approximately 110 to 120 kilometres. As the final approach passes through hilly roads, pre-arranged cars, coaches or resort transfers are recommended for wedding groups.
